Spoons Are Optional

Tonight’s dinner was an example of baby led weaning at its finest! Ava and I had oatmeal with cranberries. She decided the spoon was too much work. Who said you can’t eat oatmeal with your hands? 20121010-200405.jpg

Licking the bowl is quite effective too. 20121010-200420.jpg

Oh look, let’s sample mommy’s bowl too. 20121010-200441.jpg

Yes, I was also eating out of a baby bowl. I have grown very fond of them. They are also the perfect size for ice cream. Which reminds me, I need to see if Publix has Barnie’s Santa’s White Christmas ice cream out yet. No Publix in Alaska. =(

You may also be wondering why we are eating oatmeal for dinner.  Since Tony has been gone, we have had meat with dinner only once, and that’s because I had a coupon and it was only 85 cents.  I’m just not a huge fan of meat.  Do you ever have meals without meat?  Maybe meatless Mondays?
