Ava and I spend Saturday with my mom while Tony and my step-dad went to the Tampa Bay Lightning game. We went to a few garage sales in the morning, which turned up some amazing treasures. I found a set of three large baskets for $3 for the set! Ava got a really cool Mr. Potato Head with 25 pieces and a carrying case for $1. The lady was going to give it to me but I felt bad, so I offered her a buck. At another house, I found two more wood frames for my frame wall for a quarter each! That was a bargain! For $3 of got our nephews two pairs of Polo jeans and two nice Polo button down shirts. I think one of my favorite bargains I found was a painting that matches our living room perfectly for only $3!
When I got home I dusted it off and promptly hung it over the bookshelf in our entry way; perfect home. In the picture, you can also see my 99 cent digital picture frame from this post. I’m still hunting for a 9v adaptor. I’ve found a 12v and a 6v. I will let you know when I find one. In total, I spend $10.50. Not too bad!
Later in the day, we went to Walgreens to pick up a few things that were on sale. We went in for 3 things and came out with a whole cart full of stuff between the two of us. I found men’s deodorant, multivitamins, body wash, and hand soap all on clearance, AND they were BOGO on top of the clearance price! I also found Pampers girls fancy printed diapers on clearance, so naturally, I bought all they had. I also found one canister of organic formula on clearance, just as a backup incase breastfeeding heads south (crossing my fingers that I have to donate this formula). After a formula check, it was only $8! You can’t beat that! I also went home and found another $2 off Walgreens coupon for the formula. I’m going to take it back and see if they will give me my money back for it.
Needless to say, we found some awesome things this weekend! Have you found any good deals lately?
